Important Enrollment Information

Medicare beneficiaries may choose to enroll in Group Health Medicare Advantage plan through the CMS Medicare Online Enrollment Center at www.medicare.gov.

There are limits on when and how often you can change your Medicare coverage:

The initial enrollment period is three months before, the month of, and three months after you turn 65 (or otherwise first become eligible for Medicare).

From Oct. 15, 2016 through Dec. 7, 2016, anyone with Medicare will have an opportunity to switch from one Medicare plan to another. Coverage is effective January 1, 2017.

From Jan. 1, 2017 through Feb. 14, 2017, anyone on a Medicare Advantage plan may disenroll and move back to Original Medicare. You may choose to enroll in a stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan when you move back to Original Medicare during this period.

Switching from one Group Health plan to another counts as making a change. Generally, you can't make any other changes during the year except under special circumstances, such as if you move out of the plan's service area or are eligible for Medicaid coverage. Learn more about enrollment periods.
